In a joint meeting between Navaco and Davar Moharrek (DMC)—both subsidiaries of the Oil Turbocompressor Group (OTC)—areas of cooperation were explored regarding research and development, the localization of advanced technologies, the manufacturing of strategic components, and the utilization of support frameworks for a knowledge-based economy.

According to the Public Relations department of Navaco Company, a joint meeting between managers and experts from Navaco Company and Davar Moharrek Company was held on September 13, 2026 (Shahrivar 22, 1405). The meeting aimed to identify technological needs, examine technical challenges, and expand specialized collaboration in the field of research and development.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Amirhossein Zarghami, CEO of Navaco, outlined the company’s mission and capabilities—serving as the specialized innovation and technology arm of the Ahdaf Holding—and emphasized the necessity of establishing an effective connection between the technological needs of industrial firms and the capabilities of knowledge-based companies, academic centers, and research institutions.

Pointing to support and investment mechanisms within the innovation ecosystem, he identified several areas—including legal provisions for R&D tax credits, support for "first-time production," corporate venture capital (CVC), and the development of AI computing infrastructure (GPU farms)—as opportunities that can be leveraged to advance technology and enhance the capabilities of the group's companies.

Referring to Navaco’s initiatives in evaluating and developing technological projects within the energy and advanced industries sectors, Zarghami also emphasized the company’s role in facilitating innovation processes, supporting the localization of technology, and bridging the gap between industry and the knowledge-based ecosystem.

Subsequently, Akbar Naderpour, CEO of Davar Moharrek Company, outlined some of the organization’s technological needs and technical priorities, highlighting the acquisition of technical know-how for certain components of rotating equipment as a key focus area for research and development.

In this section, while reviewing the measures already taken and existing capacities, emphasis was placed on the necessity of conducting technical and economic feasibility studies (FS), assessing technical know-how, and examining the requirements for establishing a production line for these advanced components.

In another part of the meeting, the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) was addressed, aimed at evaluating the extent to which companies within the Oil Turbo-Compressor Group utilize the specialized capabilities and technological services offered by Novaco.

This collaboration is pursued within the framework of Novaco’s approach to developing the innovation ecosystem of the Ahdaf Holding, identifying the technological needs of its subsidiaries, strengthening internal capabilities, and leveraging the country’s scientific and knowledge-based capacities.
